The film has been honored with its second Best Documentary Award. It won this honor at Dance on Camera 2011 and was just nominated at the San Francisco Dance Film Festival 2012.

The film was also an official selection at the International Festival of Films on Art in Montreal, Canada and was shown twice in March 2012.

Moving Pictures produced and edited a video campaign YOU MAKE THE DIFFERENCE for a PwC conference in Orlando, Florida. Ron Honsa directed 15 video segments with senior management and partners.

Moonlet
Kuypers Branding hired Moving Pictures to produce a web video to promote an innovative iPad protector. The highlight of the video was producing a hacky sack game where a group of students kicked a protected iPad - creating a viral sensation for Moonlet.

The One Show 2011
Overland Entertainment worked with Moving Pictures once again to produce The One Show 2011, the advertising industry’s international award show presented at Lincoln Center. The live event was programmed by Moving Pictures, showcasing outstanding commercials and print campaigns from around the world.

Synergy Events
Moving Pictures is producing marketing/branding videos that showcase this award-winning company’s experiential marketing events across the country, as well as their key marketplace – Manhattan.

Pfizer
Moving Pictures produced a three-part series in three languages for the Latin American division of Pfizer. The series is being aired internally via the company’s website on a monthly basis.

Debevoise & Plimpton
Moving Pictures produced interviews with the senior management and the firm’s partners that are playing on the company’s website. Also, produced short video to support the firm’s case on an infringement issue that was used as evidence inside the courtroom.

US Tennis Open
Moving Pictures produced the opening video segments for the 2010 Opening Ceremony at the Arthur Ashe Stadium for The United States Tennis Association. Christiane Amanpour narrated the videos, honoring such tennis greats as Martina Navratilova, James Blake and Esther Vergeer, which aired on ESPN.

H.E.A.R.T. 9/11
Moving Pictures is currently producing a web series for this non-profit’s outreach mission in Haiti. We have also produced marketing and fundraising videos for the volunteer rapid response team.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
Moving Pictures edited a video montage for a press event for the movie "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps." Images of NYC’s stock exchange and “a day in the life” on Wall Street were projected for the live event.

25 Years of.com
Moving Pictures partnered with Overland Entertainment to create the opening video for Verisign’s 25 Years of.com celebration. This retrospective video is a fast-paced editorial/graphic compilation of the past 25 years.

Greenwich Hospital Television and Radio Campaign
Moving Pictures partnered with the branding agency, Big Arrow to produce television and radio ads for Greenwich Hospital. The spots were directed by Ron Honsa and are airing in regional markets.

American Business at the Crossroads
Moving Pictures has been nominated for a local NY Emmy for a business documentary hosted by Jonathan Tisch.

National Pepsi Event in Los Angeles
Moving Pictures partnered with Invnt to design the video segments for a 200’ video wall for Pepsi’s national meeting in LA. This huge video wall was programmed in Watchout, featuring Nascar stock footage, which introduced the key speakers for the event.

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP
Moving Pictures produced an in-house "Dignity in the Workplace" video for internal distribution throughout the law firm worldwide. The program outlines the zero tolerance policy that is in place at the firm and features a cross-section of employees discussing various workplace scenarios.

GSK Avodart Commercial Campaign
Creative editorial services for a commercial campaign starring John McEnroe, directed by Jeff Cooney and produced by EUE/Screen Gems and Bold Studios.

Best Documentary- Dance Camera West 2011

Never Stand Still is a dance documentary about a rare place and the artists who dare to express the inexpressible through movement. Jones, directed by Ron Honsa and shot on location at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, America’s longest running dance festival.

The Story of Ted Shawn's Men Dancers and the Birth of Jacob's Pillow 1933-1940

The Men Who Danced presents the story of the first all-male dance company in the US. It includes historic footage of the company performing in the 1930's, capturing the beauty and rigor of Shawn's choreography. This film highlights interviews with eight of the original Shawn dancers at a 50-year reunion at The Pillow in 1982, as well as rare archival dance footage of these historical dances. The 20th Anniversary DVD release of The Men Who Danced has been digitally enhanced and includes additional segments of never before seen footage. John Gruen of Dance Magazine called this film "One of the most authentic records we have of a most remarkable chapter in dance history." And The New York Times stated, "Shawn's passionate interest in everything about him is paid homage to..." This expanded DVD version of The Men Who Danced is an essential addition to college dance and performance collections as well as for dance enthusiasts.

Ron Honsa is the Executive Producer of Moving Pictures and has overseen hundreds of projects for its diverse clientele since founding the company 20 years ago. Under his leadership, Moving Pictures has distinguished itself as a production company for original programming, corporate communications, and branded entertainment. As Executive Producer and founding partner of Moving Pictures, Nan Penman oversees the wide range of projects the company produces from entertainment specials to documentaries and corporate films. The diversity of the company's projects has been one of the most rewarding aspects of producing and writing at Moving Pictures for over 20 years. Nan’s proven organizational skills help bring Moving Pictures’ projects in on time and on budget.

Some of her work includes: the award-winning documentary NEVER STAND STILL, two short films for GLAMOUR's Women of the Year, USTA opening ceremony for ESPN, an Outward Bound documentary GIRLS ON THE MOVE, a video series based on REAL SIMPLE magazine, Gladys Knight Special for AMC, promos for PBS featuring Meryl Streep and Bill Moyers and the creation of two original shows - SCAVENGERS for VH1 and COSMIC CAFE for WE Television.

Nan has also produced corporate media for PwC, UBS, Merck, Johnson and Johnson, VeriSign, IRC, Pfizer, H.E.A.R.T. 9/11, Debevoise and Plimpton LLP, New Jersey Devils, Synergy Events, and THE ONE SHOW, the annual advertising award show.

Nan Penman began her career in NYC in the theater, assisting the legendary Broadway producer, David Merrick, on his productions of 42nd Street and I Won't Dance. She also worked Off Broadway and at the Williamstown Theater Festival. She transitioned from theater to television with a position in program development at NBC and has done script development/research for HBO and Nederlander Television. In addition, she has coordinated live theatrical shows and fundraising galas for both corporate and nonprofit events and worked on the daytime series, As The World Turns.

Jason Gillet

Jason Gillet has been with Moving Pictures for the past decade. He is instrumental in supervising all the technical demands of the company's projects on location, in the studio and throughout the post-production process. He also serves as a post-production supervisor on a vast range of projects for Moving Pictures' diverse client base.

As an editor his projects include numerous promos and programs including Objects of Memory, Between the Lions, B Smith with Style and Girls on the Move. Jason has edited many corporate projects with companies such as Xerox, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Pfizer, SC Johnson and Pepsi. Jason has also earned a Communicator Award for his corporate video work. Most recently Jason was the lead engineer for the post-production facility of the Rachael Ray Show. He was in charge of the design, integration, installation and testing of all the systems and equipment.

Prior to joining Moving Pictures, Jason studied at Rochester Institute of Technology where he earned a BFA in Film/Video while spending three years at WXXI, a PBS affiliate in Rochester, New York.

Charles Yurick

As a seasoned creative director and editor, Charles draws inspiration from the latest trends in advertising and broadcast design. At Moving Pictures he designs inventive show opens, new product introductions, training, event and exhibit films for a diverse group of Fortune 500 clients.

He co-produced, directed, and edited the documentary film "Elder Grace Elder Wisdom" for Boston's Museum of Science traveling exhibition "Secrets of Aging". In 2007 Charles created a series of six short documentaries as part of an interactive exhibition on volunteerism in America, co-produced by the Smithsonian Institute and the US State Department.

Charles was awarded the CINE Golden Eagle for his conceptual film "Knowledge Workers", a work commissioned by Steelcase. In 1998 he received two CINE Golden Eagle awards for "The AT&T Knowledge Network" and its sequel "It's How You Know and Where You Work".

A self taught filmmaker and native of Pennsylvania, Charles began his career as a finalist in the Walnut Street Theatre "Best of the Philadelphia Video Artists" festival in 1977. He moved to New York City in 1979 and began producing industrials for Knoll International, a prestigious designer and manufacturer of furniture created by well-known architects.
